Dr. Levy carefully chooses when and if radiographs (x-rays) are to be taken using the latest in low dose x-ray technology. He follows the American Dental Association x-ray guidelines.
Radiographs are useful for the following reasons:
Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Dr. Levy utilizes Schick Technologies Digital X-Rays in the office. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. With digital x-rays, radiation exposure is 1/6th that of traditional radiographs.
Digital x-rays can also help him retrieve valuable diagnostic information. Cavities may be better visualized as the image is viewed on a computer monitor, instead of holding an x-ray film up to the light.
Digital x-rays allow you, the patient, to be part of the diagnostic process. Dr. Levy will clearly explain to you his findings as you view your images on the computer monitor. He is always open to all your questions and concerns.
The advantages of digital imaging enables us to not only store patient images, but also to quickly transfer them to appropriate specialists or insurance companies, if necessary.
