Kinjel Gatha, DDS

Meet Dr. Gatha

Dr. GathaDr Kinjel Gatha’s true passion lies in helping others, particularly aiding those in underprivileged communities.  She has been fortunate enough to work with the Batey Relief Alliance (http://bateyrelief.org) which provides health care, food, disaster relief and education to those effected by extreme poverty and disease. Dr. Gatha has gone on missions in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and India.  During these humanitarian missions, she was able to help hundreds of patients who would otherwise have no access to dentistry and basic health care.

Dr Gatha was born in New Jersey, but moved to Fort Worth, TX at a young age, and became a true Texan at heart.  She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas in Arlington, where she received a bachelor of science degree in Biology.  After college, Dr Gatha moved back to the northeast and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry, in 2009.  She went on to complete a residency at Northshore University Hospital where she received intensive training in the dental specialties. At Northshore, she worked closely with many renowned dental experts in the areas of cosmetics, implant dentistry, full mouth reconstruction, root canal therapy, and oral surgery.

Her enthusiasm and outgoing personality create a relaxing atmosphere where patients are truly comfortable under her care. She believes that a frank discussion with a patient regarding their concerns is imperative in providing dentistry that will make them feel better and look better.

In order to provide her patients with superb state-of-the-care, Dr Gatha is an avid supporter of continuing education. She has taken numerous courses in pediatrics, endodontics (root canal therapy), implantology, and was enrolled in a 2 year orthodontics course.  Because of her love for children, during her residency she furthered her interest in pediatric dentistry by completing an internship at The Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center ( http://ccmc.northshorelij.com).

In her spare time she enjoys cooking, watching movies, traveling and is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.  Dr. Gatha has a young daughter who keeps both her and her husband quite busy these days.
