Meet Merrick Dentist Dr. Kotkin
Dr. William Kotkin is a native Long Islander having grown up in Roslyn, New York. Following graduation from high school, Dr. Kotkin was accepted into a highly selective and prestigious dual admission program at Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During this time, Dr. Kotkin served in leadership positions in the Undergraduate Honors Program, Psi Omega Dental Organization, and was on the board for the Ethics Committee for the Undergraduate Student body.
Because of his desire to make a difference in people’s lives, while at Nova Southeastern, Dr. Kotkin provided dental care for the needy in Community Health Clinics in Broward and Miami-Dade County.
Following his extensive training at Nova Southeastern, Dr. Kotkin continued his education at Northwell Health, at North Shore University Hospital, in Manhasset. There he worked alongside some of New York’s leading dental specialists in the areas of cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, geriatric and special needs individuals. This exhaustive training enables him to treat patients with complicated dental problems.
Because of his love of children, he allocated extra time during his residency to treat the diverse pediatric population at Cohen’s Long Island Jewish Pediatric Hospital.
Dr. Kotkin’s warm and engaging personality, along with extensive experience treating complex medically compromised patients, enables him to comprehensively address any of your dental needs.
Dr. Kotkin enjoys hiking, camping, tennis, cooking and exploring New York City.
His passion for providing his patients with superb, state-of-the-art care drives him to constantly update his skills and knowledge through regular continuing education courses.
