While attending the prestigious dual admission program at Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Kotkin provided dental care for the needy in Community Heath Clinics, in Broward and Miami-Dade County. At North Shore University Hospital, in Manhasset, he worked alongside leading specialists treating complex cases in the areas of cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, geriatric and special needs individuals.
